Q. When you show, do you have any superstitions or lucky charms?  I wear a leather bracelet with my pony's name, Spice, on it.  I also wear one with my horse's name, Prince.
Q. What hobbies do you have other than riding horses?  What else is there?

We bought my first horse, a pony named Hard Workin' Man, September of 1999.  I showed him in Limit.

Hard Workin' Man - Spice - Gelding - 14.2 hh - Quarter Horse - Chestnut - Large Ponies - In 2001 I was CTHJA Pony Hunter, Pony Equitation and High Point Rider 13 & Under Year End Champion

Famous Last Words - Prince - Gelding - 15.2hh - Dutch Warmblood - Dark Bay with dapples - I got Prince in 2003 for my 13th birthday.  I show him in Childrens and will eventually move up to the Small Junior Hunters!

Q. What is your current trainer’s name?  Glenn Johnson
Q. What is it about his/her training style that you like?  I love everything about how Glenn teaches.  He tells me what I did wrong and then tells me how I can fix it.  I also train with Phoebe Johnson, Taryn Gaudet, and Kirk Berlin.  They are also very good trainers and all are really fun to work with.
Q. What is your favorite horse show? San Antonio Christmas, Blue Ribbon in Waco
Q. What is your favorite color for a horse?  Chestnut and dark bay

What is the funniest or most embarrassing thing that has happened to you while showing a horse or pony?

Glenn asked me to show somebody else's pony, Doris Dunn, in a flat class at the Greater Austin Horse Show in September, 2000.  My Mom and the groom did not get the girth tight enough.  As I rounded a corner and leaned to the right, the saddle slipped under the pony and I fell off.
Q. What has been your proudest moment in riding/showing? When I got all of the year end championships for CTHJA.

What are your future plans for riding?  Do you have any goals? (Grand Prix, equitation, hunter finals, qualifying, etc.)

 

My plans are to never stop riding and eventually own my own barn.  I also plan on becoming a professional trainer and international rider.  My goals are to get to Junior Hunter Finals, the Olympics, World Cup, and make it to Indoors.
