OUR MISSION
The Texas Hunter and Jumper Association was formed in 1948 as an association of exhibitors. In 1953,the THJA became a Texas nonprofit corporation whose purposes are to support, maintain, and encourage the breeding, use, exhibition, and showing of jumping horses, both those useful in the hunting field and those known as open jumpers, and to encourage a better understanding among breeders, owners, trainers, and exhibitors of such horses and to encourage such persons to accept uniform rules in regard thereto.

Membership Information
To be eligible for annual awards, a horse must be registered with the THJA and its owner be a member in good standing. No points will be credited before membership dues and horse registration fees have been received by the THJA Treasurer.
THJA members shall be eligible to participate in all classes at competitions recognized by the THJA. A non-member may participate as rider, owner, lessee agent or trainer in THJA recognized shows by payment of a $10 registration fee. The following classes are exempt. Beginner, Pre-Beginner, Short Stirrup, Leadline, Baby Green, Exhibitions, Games, and Races.
We have recently added a membership for a farm, corporation, syndicate, or a partnership. If you select a lifetime farm membership, transfer of horses already registered to individuals is free at the time of application for the farm membership. After that, the normal transfer fee applies.
Two methods are available to register or renew your membership. You may print a registration form and mail it along with the necessary fees to the address shown on the form or you may use a credit card to register and pay online. Please note that lifetime individual memberships cannot be obtained online with a credit card due to the dollar amount involved.
